New York City, Day 6 - St Ann's Festival, Hoboken

Hoboken, NJ, home of Frank Sinatra (Kat adds, "and the home of the most organised crime in the tri-state area) and... the St Ann's Italian Festival.  Which I have to say, had the best. pizza. ever.

New York City, Day 5, Yankees vs Angels

Sadly, the Yankees lost. Pretty badly.

NYC, Day 4 (Monday)

After giant pancake breakfast (the first time in living memory I have been defeated by pancakes), it was time for ... MoMA

Followed by lots of wandering including to the wonderful Strand Books via Union Square...

Spotting a Karl Lagerfeld-a-like and his ... girlfriend? daughter? PR assistant?

Forcing Simon to come shopping (at bloody Topshop of all places)

Then a fantastic Mexican place (Russell Brand spotted, but only because he was wearing a nice tshirt, I really didn't care who he was, honest)

And then, the inevitable taxi rides and a great little bar that even had Pimms and Gin Rickets. No Old Fashioneds though, to my disappointment.

New York City 3 (Sunday)

After thoroughly confusing our brains seeing Inception (marry me, Cillian Murphy) we headed to The Frying Pan, a bar on a boat on the Hudson...

Simon spotted this Iron Maiden fan waiting for his burger...

The trip back to Hoboken for Grimaldi's pizza felt a bit David Lynch (I blame Christopher Nolan)

A kooky shop called Evolution, perfect for scaring the kids. (I wasn't really supposed to take photos, but snuck a few in as part of my ongiong challenge to force myself to get the camera out in odd situations. You know, in case I bump into Jake Gyllenhaal or something).

On the roof on 5th Avenue, basking in the glow of the Empire State - someone forgot to turn the lights off at midnight, according to Kat. (Yes I know that's not the Empire State in the photos before someone leaves a comment).

p.s. Really hating on my crap lens and 30D right now, pushing it to the limit. On payday am going to get a serious upgrade, and in the meantime, saving for a 5DMkII...
